Ok, according to this location, the long waited novel of boba fett will not be written as the writer has stopped with notes from her publisher.

the reason is that according to George Lucas it will have lots of conflicts with the new series that will be coming in 2011, the series will be the story between the movies 3 and 4 and will properly not be about the heroes but more likely about the bad guys such as boba, palpatine. however Lucas did mention about Luke and obi they will properly not be coming in this story telling as Luke would be too young.

and mostly the story will be told as a drama series so we don't have to expect many lightsaber fights or space wars, will be more likely a story telling with the lots of chit chat..

but it is said that everything is still possable, the production is taken place in Australia where they are already shooting.

so lets wait and see if they can do the same with a good story telling as what they have done with the clone wars animated.
